Successes in 2009

Before I launch in full force on 2010, I thought that I would reflect on some of my successes in 2009.

Successes

1. I went to all doctors, including ones that I was pretty terrified of (dermatologist and dentist). (Side note: I hadn't been to the dentist in 6 or 7 years). I received a clean bill of health: no STDs/HIV, good cholesterol and blood pressure, no cervical cancer, no skin cancer, no cavities. AWESOME! :)

2. I traveled for 5 weeks in Italy. I studied in Rome for 3 and learned Italian (which I have now forgotten some of, but I picked it up very quickly.)

3. I finished my first year of teaching in a tough Philly middle school.

4. I ran the Broad St Run, the Run the Bridge 10K, and a 5K Turkey Trot.

5. I held to a (most of the time) weekly yoga practice.

6. I dated - and while I did not meet the man of my dreams, I met some nice guys and had some fun dates along the way. (Of course, this year - I plan on dating more, hence my match.com enrollment which is currently pending.)

7. Went to the gym/worked out pretty regularly (about 4 days a week) for almost the entire year - minus the time I was in Italy.

8. My roommate and I adopted two wonderful kittens that have really brightened up my world. :)

9. I have a plan for finishing my certification coursework - and have taken all but one of my education classes.
